🎰 LAS VEGAS IS COMING TO BATTLEFIELD 6 IN SEASON 5
Less than half an hour after confirming the Open Series and Elite Series returning to REDSEC, Battlefield dropped another big announcement: a new map set in Las Vegas and a new mode, Rapid Royale, both arriving in Season 5.
The new map
Las Vegas, Nevada is joining both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. The official key art already sets the tone: the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign wrapped in explosions, in the mass-destruction style the series has used as its signature for 24 years.
Rapid Royale: the new mode
The announcement describes Rapid Royale as faster matches, with more frequent fights and less downtime. That reads directly as an accelerated take on the battle royale format, built for shorter sessions — something that would help REDSEC if its goal is to compete with more established battle royale games where match pacing is already a constant point of comparison.
How it connects to Proximity Chat
This announcement didn't land in isolation. Just minutes earlier, Battlefield had confirmed Proximity Chat is landing in REDSEC on September 15, ahead of Season 5. Lined up together, the studio is pushing several big pieces at once: a new social feature, a new map, a new mode, and competitive play returning — all pointing at REDSEC as the place where things get tested first.
