🎮 CALL OF DUTY RETURNS TO NINTENDO
After 13 years, Modern Warfare 4 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day as the worldwide launch.
Thirteen years away
This is the first Call of Duty on a Nintendo console since 2013. For a franchise that ships a new game every year, an absence of more than a decade from the Nintendo ecosystem is notable, and it makes this return more than just another port.
Who's doing the work
Digital Legends is the studio handling Modern Warfare 4's adaptation to Switch 2. The fact that the Switch version ships the same day as every other platform, instead of months later like most Nintendo ports, suggests development started in parallel from the beginning, not as an afterthought.
How to try it early
Pre-orders are already open, and the free open beta starts this Friday, giving anyone with a Switch 2 a chance to try the game before the official launch.

Worldwide launch is October 23, 2026, simultaneous across all platforms, including Switch 2.
