📅 WHAT'S COMING IN SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER
Three different franchises, five confirmed dates, all falling within a seven-week window. That's what the calendar for the biggest shooters right now looks like.
The full calendar
- September 1 — Modern Warfare 4's free open beta ends.
- September 3 — WARDOGS has a major announcement at the FPS Games Show.
- September 10 — WARDOGS launches in Early Access.
- October 6 — Gears of War: E-Day, worldwide launch.
- October 23 — Modern Warfare 4, worldwide launch, including Nintendo Switch 2.
Why this overlap matters
Three different studios, three different publishers, and their calendars end up overlapping in the same two-month window. For anyone following more than one shooter, September and October 2026 are going to force some prioritizing — there's no way to give all three launches full attention at once.
