Battlefield's official account confirmed several things the competitive community had been waiting on all at once: a date for Proximity Chat, the Open Series returning, and a serious jump in the Elite Series prize pool.

The announcement, posted directly from Battlefield's main account (1.5M followers), lays it out: the Season 4 Cash Cup arrives with $150,000 in prizing, the Open Series returns, and the Elite Series comes back in Season 5 with more than $1.3 million on the table, the largest the competitive circuit has offered so far.
